Ried vs Sturm Graz - Austria Bundesliga - Sat 12:30pm EST - some odds dropping already on this match. Sturm declared bankrupt and always tough on the players to worry about salary payments, etc. They are the worst offensive team in the league (10g in 13 games) and have been shutout in 5 of last 7 including their last 3 road games. Ried having a nightmare season compared to last year. Good news is they're unbeaten in 7, bad news is they're 1-6-0 in those games. 7 straight series matches have ended in home win, with very similar prices in all, so no reason to oppose the trend. Smaller bet as it's not my real knowledge base. Ried home win 3.5/10 @1.855 (pinn)

Santos vs Sao Caetano - Sat Brazil - Not a fan of heavy HC's in Brazilian derby matches but this should really be a no contest. Sao Caetano are a catastrophy, losing 8 straight matches and winless in 13. Yes, they must fight against relegation but they are the 2nd worst road team in Brazil (1-3-11 11/27) and have significant missing players for the match. Their most important players, Anderson Lima, Triguinho, Caninde, and Rafael Mucamba are out along with starters Thiago, Daniel, Neto and Marabá. This is a makeshift Azulao lineup and really cannot be expected to compete away in Vila Belmiro, where Santos are a league best 12-2-1. Sao Cae always play Santos tough, and many away victories can be found in this series but it's been all Santos lately, 5-0-1 in their last 6 meetings. Santos still have some title hopes but certainly want an automatic Libertadores berth and with their home dominance even the HC looks worth a go. Santos -1.5 goals 4/10 @2.00 (ibc/sportmarket, 1.98 pinn)

no official picks so far for Sunday but did take Honefoss in Nor 1 ... goes off early AM if interested. Otherwise looks to be a slow day unless I uncover something in AM capping. GL this weekend

Honefoss won 2-1 this morning

Betis vs Mallorca - Spain - Betis off to a dreadful 1-1-5 start but they have played top teams throughout like Valencia, Sevilla, Real Madrid, Zaragoza, and Deportivo ... all in top 6 of table. Today they meet a relegation team or, at best, a lower midtable squad. Mallorca with 1-1-1 road record but have lost in last 2 trips to Betis. Former Inter striker, Rafael Sobis, will be back today though two normal defenders are out. Mallorca a few injuries up front which will hurt an already impotent attack. Time for Betis to start climbing the table. Betis 5/10 @2.10
